The Podere Casanuova, a quiet hamlet on the outskirts of San Gimignano, is a 17 th century farmhouse (already listed on the Leopoldino land registry), which has been restored to the highest standards and restructured into self – contained apartments.
It offers every modern comfort jet retains all the period charm of the original 17 th century buildings. From behind the thick stone walls, it provides a quiet and peaceful refuge, a place in which to retire to, from the heat and noise of city life in an atmosphere of old world tranquillity. This is pleace to come to relax and enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding countryside, where olive groves, woods, fields and the towers of San Gimignano mingle together in a patchwork of colours and sunlight.
The apartments are spacious (approximately 80 m2 ) and beautifully furnished with antique Tuscan furniture in keeping with the style of the property. They all have fully equipped modern kitchens, comfortable sofas in the sitting areas and satellite T.V.; central heating and burglary alarm. Washing machines are included in the bathrooms. A high level of security is maintained throughout. The ground floor flats open onto their own private gardens while those on the first floor have access to the spacious grounds surrounding the complex, where secluded areas are provided for relaxation. Each apartment is colour coordinated to reflect the beautiful vibrancy of the Tuscan countryside; the views from the windows are superb.
 
 
The swimming pool is situated in an area of natural beauty above the house, where it has a commanding views of the surrounding countrysideIt is in very open, sunny spot so the water in the pool is always pleasantly warm. The rectangular shaped pool has a circular stair case facilitating entry into and exit from the water. The sun terrace surrounding the pool is paved in natural stone interspersed with areas of greenery to create a perfect unison with the surroundings. Further landscaping is simple and elegant. There are sun chairs and loungers on the terrace with umbrellas serving shade even during the hottest hours of the day.
Riding stables for horse riding in the beautiful countryside are a short distance from San Gimignano. A Tennis Club is also nearby and scooters and mountain bikes can be hired locally. An 18-hole golf course is approximately 20 km. from the Podere. Podere Casanuova is only 2 km. from the historic centre of San Gimignano and its characteristic restaurants, and bars where one can dine inside and out. Other lovely cities well worth visiting in Tuscany are easily reached; Florence is only 45 km. away; Siena 35 km.; Volterra 28 km. and Pisa 60 km.
